JEONJU, SOUTH KOREA – Pakistan’s national youth girls’ netball team maintained their unbeaten run at the Asian Youth Netball Championship 2025 with a commanding 79–39 victory over Japan on Monday. This marks Pakistan’s fourth consecutive win in the tournament, placing them at the top of Pool B.
The Pakistani side dominated the match from the outset, leading 16–9 at the end of the first quarter. The advantage was further extended to 39–17 by halftime, 60–26 by the third quarter, and finally sealing the win at 79–39.
Consistent Performances and Team Spirit
Outstanding performances were delivered by team members including Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Naveed, Haleema, Sarina Hussain, Jasmine Farooq, Farah Rasheed, Amani, Parisa, Sumayya Ahmed, and Alina, who were instrumental in the team’s decisive victory.
This win adds to Pakistan’s earlier triumphs against Saudi Arabia (71–15), Chinese Taipei (56–32), and South Korea (91–6), reflecting the team’s dominant form throughout the group stage.
One Step Closer to the Semi-Finals
Pakistan now leads Pool B with eight points and is in strong contention for a place in the semi-finals. The team is scheduled to face Maldives in their final group match on Tuesday, where a win will officially secure their spot in the next round.
The championship, which is being held at the Jeonju Hwasan Indoor Gymnasium, features eleven participating nations divided into two pools and is scheduled to continue until July 4, 2025.
