Islamabad — Pakistan, along with seven other Muslim-majority countries, has voiced grave concern over the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, warning that the crisis has reached alarming levels amid continued violence and severe shortages of essential supplies.
In a joint statement, the countries highlighted the urgent need for uninterrupted humanitarian access, stressing that civilians — particularly women and children — are bearing the brunt of the ongoing conflict. The statement underscored growing fears over shortages of food, clean water, medical aid and shelter for the displaced population.
Call for Immediate Humanitarian Relief
The participating nations urged the international community to take swift and decisive action to ensure the protection of civilians and facilitate large-scale humanitarian assistance. They emphasized that continued restrictions on aid deliveries are exacerbating human suffering and risking further loss of life.
The statement also reiterated support for international humanitarian law, calling on all parties to respect civilian lives and infrastructure, including hospitals, relief convoys and residential areas.
Regional and Diplomatic Concerns
Pakistan and its partners warned that prolonged instability in Gaza could have serious regional repercussions. They stressed the importance of renewed diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and a sustainable resolution to the crisis.
