ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF) has officially announced a 12-member national squad for the upcoming Asian Youth Netball Championship, scheduled to be held in Jeonju, South Korea, from June 27 to July 4, 2024.

According to PNF President Sameen Malik, the championship will take place at the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium and will feature 11 participating nations. Pakistan has been placed in Group B alongside South Korea, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Maldives, and Saudi Arabia.

Announced Squad:
The players selected for the national team are:
Parisa Abbas, Amani Fuad Garib, Alina Maya Garib, Leya Raza Shah, Alisha Amer Naveed, Israh Umer Malik, Haleema Sakina Safdar, Sarina Naseem Hussain, Sumaya Safiya Ahmed, Sumayya Kauthar Safdar, Jasmine Elizabeth Farooq, and Farrah Sherry Ross Rashid.
Sumayya Kauthar Safdar will lead the side as team captain.

  • Head Coach: Amanda Arleen
  • Assistant Manager/Coach: Haroona Bario Zaman
  • Primary Care Official: Irfan Sadia Hussain

Match Schedule:
Pakistan will open its campaign against Saudi Arabia on June 27, followed by matches against:

  • Chinese Taipei (June 28)
  • South Korea (June 29)
  • Japan (June 30)
  • Maldives (July 1)

The top teams from each group will advance to the knockout stages of the championship.
