TAŠKENT, Uzbekistan – Pakistan’s remarkable run at the FIVB Boys’ U-19 World Championship continued as they registered their fourth consecutive win, sweeping Puerto Rico 3‑0 with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-15, and maintaining an unbeaten streak without dropping a single set.
Skipper Muhammad Yahya led from the front with a stellar 22-point performance, while Ajmal and Muhammad Saud added 7 and 6 points, respectively. Pakistan outclassed their opponents in all departments—winning 40 attack points, recording 62 receptions, 54 digs, and forcing 24 errors from the Puerto Rican side.
The squad’s dominance was clear as they cruised past Puerto Rico with aggressive play, minimal unforced errors, and sharp service pressure, including three direct service points.
Pakistan Volleyball Federation President Sohail Khawar Mir hailed the team’s consistent excellence, noting that the winning streak showcases the rising standard of youth volleyball in Pakistan. He reaffirmed the federation’s focus on nurturing talent and increasing international exposure.
With their spot in the Round of 16 already secured, Pakistan will face Argentina in their final group-stage match on Tuesday, carrying unstoppable momentum into the knockouts.
