ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has firmly denied reports circulating in Indian media alleging that it plans to send 20,000 troops to Gaza and has dropped the phrase “Not valid for Israel” from its passports.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting labelled the claims as “completely baseless and misleading,” reiterating that Pakistan’s stance on Israel remains unchanged — the country does not recognise Israel and maintains no military or diplomatic engagement with it.
Officials clarified that the clause excluding Israel from Pakistani passports is still in place, and no troop deployment to Gaza has ever been discussed.
The government also warned against the spread of misinformation aimed at creating confusion about Pakistan’s foreign policy.
