Lauderhill, Florida – Pakistan secured a 2-1 series win over the West Indies after edging out the hosts by 13 runs in the third and final T20 International at Central Broward Park on Sunday.
Batting first, Pakistan posted a strong total of 189 for 4, powered by a brilliant 138-run opening partnership between Sahibzada Farhan (74 off 44) and Saim Ayub (66 off 44). The duo provided a commanding start, setting the tone for a competitive total. West Indies managed to pull things back in the final overs, restricting Pakistan to under 190.
In response, the West Indies began aggressively, scoring 33 runs in the first two overs, but Pakistan’s bowlers struck back with tight spells and regular wickets. Haris Rauf, Mohammad Nawaz, and Abbas Afridi played key roles in choking the run flow and derailing the chase.
The West Indies were ultimately restricted to 176 for 6, falling short by 13 runs. This marked Pakistan’s seventh consecutive T20I series victory against the West Indies, underlining their dominance in the format against the Caribbean side.
