UN to hold General Assembly session in virtual mode due to Covid-19 pandemic

NEW YORK: The United Nations has decided that the upcoming session of the General Assembly in September this year will be held in a virtual mode due to Covid-19.

The world body has decided that the world leaders will submit their pre-recorded video statements for the session.

This will be the first time in UN’s 75 years history that the high- level session of 193 member states organization will be held in a virtual mode.
