PCB shuns rumours of Misbah's immediate dismissal ahead of South Africa series


LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that Misbah-ul-Haq would appear before the cricket board committee on Tuesday and his elimination as Head Coach of National Team before South Africa series are rumours.

As per details, Misbah-ul-Haq and Bowling Coach Waqar Younis are expected to face some tough questions regarding their performance in the meeting today.

Cricket Committee will be headed by former Test wicket-keeper Saleem Yousuf and Former Captain Wasim Akram.

Since the defeat of Pakistan against New Zealand, news of Misbah's replacement with a foreign coach has been circulating. He is expected to be replaced by Grant Flower and Gary Kirsten.

As per sources, Younis Khan is the top candidate to replace Misbah as temporary head coach for the upcoming South Africa series and Board will post advertisements for foreign head coach after these series.

The South Africa series will begin from January 26.
