Mother of Sharif Brothers passes away in London

LONDON: The mother of former Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and PML-N leader Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Begum Shamim Akhtar, died after protracted illness in London today (Sunday).  She was of 90.

President Dr Arif Alvi has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the mother of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif.

In his condolence message, he commiserated with the bereaved family and prayed higher status for the departed soul in heaven.

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has expressed grief and heartfelt condolences on sad demise of the mother of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Mian Shehbaz Sharif.

The Army Chief prayed to the Allah Almighty to bless the departed soul in eternal peace.

Likewise, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Shibli Faraz has expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the mother of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif.

In a tweet, he commiserated with the bereaved family and prayed higher status for the departed soul in heaven.

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar and Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri have also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of the mother of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and leader of the opposition in the Lower House Shahbaz Sharif.

In their message, they prayed Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in heaven and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
