Prime Minister's Focal Person on Panahgahs Naseem ur Rehman says the government is providing free meals to millions of people in a dignified manner under the Panagah initiative.

Speaking in a programme of Radio Pakistan's News and Current Affairs Channel on Thursday evening, he said there are total 115 Panagahs across Pakistan and every facility has the capacity of accommodating 100 people. He said 50 Pangahs are in Punjab, 30 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, five each in Balochistan and Sindh. He said the government is committed to expand this mega project in future.

Terming the initiative of Panahgahs as Safe, Secure and Sustainable,  Naseem ur Rehman said 70 percent of it beneficiaries are skilled labourers, students, daily-wagers, jobless, and old age people.

He said 15 percent of the beneficiaries are women and government has also established women specific Panahgahs along with some hospitals.
