London: England cricket squad has been retested for coronavirus in Sri Lanka after Moeen Ali tested positive.
As per details, at England’s base in Hambantota, all the players had a lateral flow test along with a PCR test and the results are expected on Wednesday morning.
All players must remain in their hotel rooms until the results are returned.
Moeen Ali has left the Hambantota base to continue his 10-day self-isolation period in a hotel near Galle and appears certain to miss the first Test against Sri Lanka.
Chris Woakes is believed to be the only team player to have close contact with Moeen Ali as both had shared a car to the airport in the UK. Chris is now quarantined and awaiting further testing.
The two-Test series will start in Galle, with the first test commencing from January 14 and second test from January 22.
