RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that lasting peace in South Asia is possible only by resolving long-standing conflicts and global support and commitment is needed to resolve regional issues.
According to Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited Command and Staff College Quetta. On arrival in Quetta, Corps Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Muhammad Waseem Ashraf received the Army Chief. Commandant Command and Staff College Quetta Lt. Gen. Nadeem Ahmed Anjum was also present on the occasion.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief also spoke to the teachers and officers of the Staff College on the security challenges. He said that only a well-trained and professional army is the guarantee of peace. With the support of the people, the Pakistan Army is the guarantor of peace.
Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that lasting peace in South Asia is possible only by resolving long-standing disputes. This is possible only with global support and commitment to regional issues.
He said that only with effective national efforts can Pakistan move towards a prosperous and development. It takes time to be equipped with professional training and modern technology to overcome new challenges.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan Army along with other state agencies would take every action to tackle the challenge of Corona epidemic.
