KHUZDAR, Balochistan: Security forces achieved a significant breakthrough against terrorism in Balochistan as 14 militants were killed and nearly 20 others injured during a major intelligence-based operation in the Zahri area of Khuzdar district. The militants were linked to the banned Fitna-al-Hindustan network, which has been involved in multiple acts of violence across the region.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was carried out after credible intelligence revealed that the terrorists were planning to target civilians and destabilize local communities. In the ensuing action, several militant hideouts were destroyed, with weapons and ammunition recovered from their possession.
The statement further highlighted that the terrorists, weakened by continuous security pressure, were resorting to desperate tactics to spread fear among the population. However, timely action by the armed forces thwarted their plans, ensuring the protection of innocent lives.
Local residents, relieved by the crackdown, expressed support for the security forces, chanting slogans in solidarity and vowing cooperation in maintaining peace in the region. Analysts describe the success as a critical step in breaking militant networks that have long exploited the area for subversive activities.
The Khuzdar operation once again underscores the resolve of Pakistan’s security apparatus to dismantle terrorist strongholds and maintain stability in Balochistan, a province vital to the country’s security and economic future.
