Islamabad – Pakistan – Justice Babar Sattar of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued a detailed charge sheet against Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Acting Chief Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb Dogar, highlighting serious concerns over judicial practices ahead of a full court meeting.
In his written note, Justice Sattar criticized what he described as “institutional decay” within the judiciary. He pointed to delays in case hearings, inconsistent roster management, and administrative decisions that he claimed were undermining the efficiency and credibility of the court.
The charge sheet also raised questions about the allocation of politically sensitive cases and alleged that the current leadership’s handling of judicial matters had eroded public trust.
Justice Sattar’s move comes as the IHC prepares for a full court session, where judges are expected to deliberate on internal challenges and institutional reforms. Legal observers say the unprecedented document underscores deep divisions within the judiciary at a critical time.
