LOS ANGELES – DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn has dismissed speculation that Hollywood actor Chris Pratt will be cast as Batman in the upcoming DC Universe (DCU) projects, though he confirmed that the star could still appear in a different role.
Responding to ongoing rumors, Gunn clarified, “As Batman? No. As something else? Yes.” His remarks ended weeks of fan debate about whether Pratt would portray the Caped Crusader in The Brave and the Bold, the highly anticipated DCU film that will introduce Bruce Wayne and his son Damian Wayne.
The director’s comments suggest that while Pratt will not don the Dark Knight’s cowl, his involvement with the DCU remains a strong possibility. This has reignited speculation about which character he could potentially play within the growing franchise.
Casting details for The Brave and the Bold remain unconfirmed. The film, directed by Andy Muschietti, is part of DC Studios’ broader strategy to relaunch the superhero universe with a mix of fresh faces and new storylines.
