ISLAMABAD – PTI founder Imran Khan has firmly ruled out any talks with the current government, his sister Aleema Khan said following an attempt to visit him at Adiala Jail. She stressed that in their recent meetings, he never hinted at starting a “national dialogue,” and accused the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz of spreading misleading rumors to confuse the public.
Aleema rejected suggestions of a possible settlement or back-channel negotiations, stating that Imran has consistently called for a political struggle against the government. She revealed that Imran had directed his party to refrain from contesting by-elections, viewing such participation as an attempt to legitimize the administration. Instead, he has emphasised a full-scale movement and instructed PTI leaders to mobilise the masses under clear strategic guidance.
She also dismissed reports that PTI leaders were allowed meetings with Imran in recent weeks, asking rhetorically, “If they were not meeting him, how could talks have been sanctioned?” According to her, any claims of dialogue were politically motivated and a sign of growing PTI influence, rather than any softening stance.
