KARACHI – Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf has been ruled out of the remainder of Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 due to a Grade-1 hamstring strain sustained while playing for the San Francisco Unicorns. His injury has also cast doubt on his availability for Pakistan’s upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh.
Rauf had been in excellent form during the MLC season, leading the wicket charts for his franchise with 17 wickets in eight matches at an economy rate of 9.08. His exit is a significant setback for the Unicorns as the league moves into its crucial phase.
The Pakistan Cricket Board is now closely monitoring Rauf’s rehabilitation process to assess his fitness ahead of the three-match T20I series in Bangladesh, scheduled from July 20 to 24. The national squad is set to begin training in Karachi on July 8 before departing for Dhaka on July 16.
Team management is considering alternate pace options should Rauf fail to recover in time. His absence would be a major blow for Pakistan’s bowling attack, particularly with the series marking an important phase in their T20 World Cup preparations.
