ISLAMABAD — Pakistani actress and social media star Hania Aamir has been appointed as the National Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women Pakistan. In her new role, Aamir will advocate for gender equality, empower women and girls, and promote social inclusion across the country.
Known for her widespread popularity and influence among the youth, Aamir joins a distinguished group of UN Women ambassadors who work to raise awareness on issues affecting women and to champion women’s rights. Her appointment marks a significant step in UN Women’s ongoing mission to strengthen gender equality initiatives in Pakistan.
Aamir succeeds Muniba Mazari, who held the honorary position until August 2025 and continues to remain an influential voice for women’s empowerment and social justice.
