ISLAMABAD – Pakistan and the UAE have partnered to establish “Pakistan Mart,” a dedicated export hub near Jebel Ali in Dubai, aimed at promoting Pakistani-made goods to buyers across the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.
The project is a collaboration between Pakistan’s National Logistics Corporation (NLC) and UAE-based DP World, with DP World providing the infrastructure at no construction cost to Pakistani stakeholders. The hub will feature warehousing space, showrooms, retail units, and e-commerce fulfilment centres.
Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan praised the initiative as transformative, citing its potential to boost visibility for exporters in key sectors such as textiles, surgical instruments, food items, perishables, sports goods, and nutraceuticals. Business representatives from Pakistan lauded the collaboration as a milestone in economic diplomacy and global outreach.
Officials highlighted that the platform will streamline logistics, eliminate intermediaries, and provide direct access to high-demand markets. By reducing trade barriers and leveraging Dubai’s strategic location, Pakistan Mart is expected to drive export growth and create opportunities for SMEs and established manufacturers alike.
