Islamabad, Pakistan — Popular Pakistani singer Shae Gill sustained an injury during a live performance in the federal capital after being struck by a drone flying close to the stage, prompting concern among fans before the artist confirmed that she is safe and recovering.
The incident occurred during a performance at the Park View City Grand Carnival, a multi-day entertainment event in Islamabad featuring live music and family activities. According to details shared by the singer herself, a drone being operated near the stage unexpectedly moved towards her at high speed, causing a deep cut to her hand during the show.
Taking to social media after the incident, Shae Gill explained that the drone controller had reportedly been handed to an inexperienced operator, which led to the accident. She confirmed that she received immediate medical attention, including a tetanus shot, and reassured fans that her condition was stable. “I’m okay now,” she wrote, adding that while the injury was painful, it was not serious.
Fans and fellow artists flooded social media with messages of support following the incident, expressing relief after Gill’s update. The singer, who rose to international fame with her hit song Pasoori, remains one of Pakistan’s most recognised contemporary music voices, with a strong fan base both locally and abroad.
The incident has also sparked discussion around safety measures at public events involving drones and aerial equipment. While event organisers have not issued an official statement, the mishap has raised fresh questions about the use of such devices near performers and large crowds.
Despite the scare, Shae Gill’s reassurance has eased concerns, with fans wishing her a speedy recovery and applauding her composure following the unexpected incident on stage.
