ISTANBUL – Turkey: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with his Turkish counterpart in Istanbul on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting on Gaza, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace, unity, and humanitarian support for the Palestinian people.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and stressed the urgent need for an immediate and permanent ceasefire. Dar reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, based on pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
He emphasised that Pakistan stands firmly with the people of Palestine and urged the international community to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts in Gaza without delay.
The Turkish Foreign Minister, in response, lauded Pakistan’s principled stance on the issue and highlighted the importance of collective action among Muslim nations to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region. Both sides agreed to deepen bilateral cooperation and continue close coordination on regional and global challenges.
