ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has sought official permission to hold a large-scale protest rally at Fatima Jinnah Park (F-9 Park) on August 5, prompting heightened security preparations across the capital.
The formal request, submitted by PTI Islamabad leaders Aamir Masood Mughal and Malik Amir Ali, assures peaceful conduct and full cooperation with local authorities. The event is scheduled to run from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
In anticipation, over 1,000 anti-riot personnel have been deployed for intensive drills focused on crowd management, dispersal techniques, and ensuring public safety. Intelligence units are also closely monitoring the arrival and movement of PTI supporters, with checks at hotels and guest houses underway.
With tensions simmering and preparations underway, Islamabad braces for a high-stakes political demonstration.
