KARACHI, PAKISTAN – Pakistan women’s cricket team captain Fatima Sana is determined to carry her side’s winning momentum into the upcoming three-match T20I series against Ireland, scheduled from August 6 to 10 in Dublin.
Speaking during a media talk at the National Stadium, Fatima expressed confidence in the squad’s preparations and her personal resolve to contribute across all departments. “I aim to give my best with the bat, ball and in the field. We’re entering this tour with a positive mindset,” she stated.
Top-order batter Muneeba Ali added that the team has worked hard to address gaps seen during their last campaign and is ready to adapt to Ireland’s conditions. “The conditions will be different, but we’ve analysed and prepared well. We’re going in with confidence,” she said.
The 15-member squad includes uncapped batter Eyman Fatima, who impressed selectors with a standout performance in the domestic T20 tournament, scoring 287 runs with a strike rate exceeding 155.
The tour follows Pakistan’s successful run at the T20 World Cup Qualifiers, and the series is seen as a key test ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2026.
