LAHORE: Funeral prayer of Begum Shamim Akhtar, the mother of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Shehbaz Sharif was offered in Lahore on Saturday.
A large number of people belonging to different walks of life and party leaders, workers attended the funeral prayer.
The Punjab government on Wednesday released Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz from Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat jail on parole for five days.
