LOS ANGELES – In the ongoing blockbuster courtroom showdown between actor-director Justin Baldoni and actress Blake Lively, new court filings allege Baldoni’s camp exploited digital tools to cover their tracks.
Legal documents reveal that Baldoni’s representatives allegedly used the encrypted messaging app Signal, notorious for automatically deleting chats, to discuss sensitive case matters. The plaintiffs’ lawyers claim this tactic was employed to hide evidence and circumvent discovery obligations. They further assert that the team behind Baldoni’s upcoming film orchestrated a covert online campaign to malign Lively while burying incriminating messages.
Lively’s attorneys responded by demanding transparency and warning that such “smoke-and-mirror” efforts will not derail the legal process. Baldoni’s side denies accusations of misconduct but acknowledges the investigation is far from over.
The legal war between the two stars—tied to their work on the film It Ends With Us—has grown into one of Hollywood’s most watched controversies. A trial date is currently set for March 2026 in New York.
