KARACHI – The Chief Minister of Sindh has unveiled a two‑week celebration plan to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day, running from August 1 to 14. The initiative aims to spark renewed national pride through cultural programming and free public access to heritage sites.
Key museums, archaeological landmarks, and galleries across the province—including Mohenjo Daro, the Quaid-i-Azam House Museum, and major art venues—will offer free admission throughout the celebration period. Visitors will also enjoy musical performances by prominent Pakistani artists in cities like Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur.
The culture and tourism authorities have confirmed decorative lighting, flag installations, and special exhibitions at selected sites. The initiative also includes 50 percent discounts on official publications and art merchandise.
Officials emphasize that the event will strengthen cultural appreciation and connect citizens with Pakistan’s historical legacy as the nation celebrates this important anniversary.
