Simon ( Auckland ), debuted against in March 2005, and at 16 became the second youngest player to turn out for the New Zealand Men’s team. This year, he has developed his potential rapidly and was a game breaker at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in March. He went on to the World Cup Qualifier in April where he continued his dramatic development and finished the tournament as ’s top goal scorer. Simon is still only 18 and shows top level touch and skill beyond his years. He won the 2005 Counties Manukau Junior sportsman of the Year.
