Zaheer Abbas applies for batting coach

Former star batsman Zaheer Abbas has formally applied to serve as the batting coach of Pakistan cricket squad.
After the application the legendary batsman no more remains the member of the special committee formed to give final touches to the selection of the coach. According to sources, in all a total of seven applications are being received for the post of batting coach thus far. These include Saleem Malik and Zaheer Abbas from Pakistan as well as applications from South Africa, Australia and Britain. The application would be discussed in the meeting of a committee headed by Intikhab Alam next week. After the exclusion of Zeheer Abbas from the committee Intikhab Alam, Col Naushad Ali and Rameez Raja would select the new candidate for batting coach. End. |
