SA announces Test & ODI squad for Pakistan series

KARACHI: South Africa has announced their team for test and One Day International (ODI) series against Pakistan, which begins on October 14 and will be played in UAE, Our Sources reported on Monday.
South Africa will play two Tests, five ODIs and two T20s in the tour against Pakistan.
Graeme Smith, who suffered from an ankle injury and has been out of competitive cricket since May, is set to lead South Africa against Pakistan in the Test series.
Some key players have made the comeback in the side including Dale Steyn, who missed much last series against Sri Lanka due to side strain, groin, glute, neck and ankle problem - will be fit to play while JP Duminy make a return in the side after recovering from Achilles tendon injury.
Imran Tahir and Robin Peterson were both named, meaning South Africa will have two frontline spin options for the tour.
Wicketkeeper Thami Tsolekile was picked while Vernon Philander earns a recall to the ODI squad - the last of his eight one-dayers was played in January 2012.
Jacques Kallis does not feature in both the format and is expected to be back in the limited-overs set-up for the scheduled home series against India.
Cricket South Africa said their T20 squad would be named after the Champions League T20, which ends on October 6.
