Pakistan beat Iran in first Kabaddi match

LAHORE: Pakistan Kabaddi team beat visiting Iran team 31-25 here at the Iqbal Park Sports Complex hall on Thursday.
The Iran Kabaddi team is visiting Pakistan to play two Test match series.
The team will also attend a three-day joint training camp with the Pakistan team after Test series.
The match was not of a conventional Kabaddi but it was played on a rubber mattress fixed in the hall. Both the teams looked very aggressive from the beginning but Pakistan settled first and won many a point in succession to finish 14-11 at the interval. They continued their better form and finished 31-25 at the end. Wajid was the outstanding player for Pakistan who claimed 6 points while Yasir, Akram, Nasim and Naveed also played well.
Shaharyar, Muqaddas and Mustafa played well for Iran. As many as 300 spectators were present in the hall who kept on shouting and supporting their favourite players.
