National T20 success sends positive message to world: Zaka

Pakistan Cricket Board chief Zaka Ashraf praised by the sports circle of the city for organising the 9-day Faysalbank Twenty20 cricket tournament successfully that concluded with a colourful ceremony held after the final at the Gaddafi Stadium.

A nearly jam-packed stadium witnessed the musical show with joy and enthusiasm and cheered the Pakistan and Indian singers performances and their skills.

The crowd enjoyed every moment of the match and cheered the batsmen and bowlers performances over hitting four or six and taking wicket. The spectators came to watch the mega event final with their family in big numbers and enjoyed every moment of the final match. The match telecast live on a state TV channel.

The security arrangements around the stadium were strict and each person was checked at three or four points then cleared for entry into the stadium.

Pakistan Cricket Board chief Ch Zaka Ashraf and the Punjab government equally praised for their efforts they made to maintain the security in and around the stadium.

The tournament will become a first drop for the return of international cricket to Pakistan. It also proves beneficial for the Pakistan Twenty20 league being held in March 2013 in which some of the foreign players shown their interest for participation in the event.

The all credit goes to Pakistan Cricket Board chief Zaka Ashraf as after assuming the charge his prime job was to revive cricketing ties with the neighbouring India and bring back international cricket to Pakistan as after the attack of Sri Lankan team in Lahore international teams refused to tour Pakistan on security grounds. Pakistan compelled to play home series in neutral venue and United Arab Emirates.

Zaka Ashraf while talking to a TV channel during the match said he is working sincerely and honestly day and night to bring back international cricket to Pakistan and today full stadium will prove tonic for me to continue his hard work for his cause.

He said that this tournament will send a positive message to world that Pakistan and its people are peaceful people and love the sports that will also help in bringing the international cricket back to Pakistan.

Today's show proved that he is working on right lines and bilateral series with India was possible due to his hectic efforts as Allah give him success as he is working sincerely and so Allah achieving his dreams.

The cricket circles of country have also praised the efforts of Ch Zaka Ashraf for cricket revival in Pakistan and expressed the hope that PCB chief will earn more successes in future.

The peaceful commencement of Pakistan Twenty20 in March will boost the chances of international cricket return to Pakistan. The today's final show that people of Pakistan love sports and want sports in their country to watch their heroes and international players in action in their own backyard.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ch Zaka Ashraf said he was happy to see a jampacked crowd witnessed the National Twenty20 event. “The excitement of cricket crazy fans shows that they are hungry to witness the international cricket at their home grounds and we are striving hard to bring international cricket back to the country. The time is not far when these fans will be witnessing international cricket at their home soil and Pakistan will be hosting international events here which will surely help in boosting our sports and earning good name and fame for the country.”

He thanked sponsors Faysalbank and Punjab government for their help in providing the security to make this tournament a success. Zaka Ashraf looked satisfied and jubilant after the conclusion of final match and the colourful ceremony arranged by the PCB for the enjoyment of spectators present in the Gaddafi Stadium.
