Nasir Ismail to coach Sindh green

ISLAMABAD: Sindh Women Football Associationís Secretary General Sadia Shiekh Wednesday announced Sindh Green team which will make appearance in Second National Women Championship.

ISLAMABAD: Sindh Women Football Association’s Secretary General Sadia Shiekh Wednesday announced Sindh Green team which will make appearance in Second National Women Championship.

Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) will organise the event from 18-28 August 2006 at Islamabad’s Jinnah Stadium, immediately after Pakistan-Oman Asian Cup clash at the same venue on 16 August.

Sindh team was formed after a month long training camp at National Coaching Centre field on Stadium Road, Karachi. Nasir Ismail, who represented Pakistan in World Cup Qualifiers 1993 and played against China, Yemen, Iraq and Jordan at Jordan and China, will train the team at Islamabad.

According to Sadia, who went to Jordanian capital of Amman last May with Pakistan Women Futsal team for the third Women Futsal Championship 2006 as official, the 16-player team will be comprised of Amber Nazir, Humaira Masrur, Fatima Khan, Humaira Nazir, Fehmida Hussaini, Middat Zehra, Marium Butt, Ghazal Faruqui, Saira Farid, Dilshad Saifur Rehman, Ambreen Hamid, Rabbiya Saya, Sara Moon, Kiran Yousuf, Misbah Butt and Solmaz Afridi. Danismand Farooqi will act as Vice President of the team while Kishwer has been appointed as Assistant Coach.

Sadia appreciated the heroic works of PFF President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat through which second edition of National women soccer championship will be played as schedule.

Meanwhile Sindh finished fourth in previous edition when they lost 0-1 to Balochistan on 28 September 2005 at same venue.
