Says Luis Manuel Villa López, commonly known as Luisma, Spanish footballer who last played as a midfielder for Indian club Bengaluru FC.

To him what he sees life, a full of opportunities. Keep trying and you never know when somebody will ping on your door.

“On 2 July 2015, after leaving EFL by mutual consent as I wanted to move back to Spain, I was sure about one thing that I won’t be stepping back into the field and that’s what I initially said no to call of the blue I received, asking if he would be interested in moving 5,000 miles to sign for Bengaluru FC in the Indian Super League.”

“But, the more they told me about the league, the more I saw it as an amazing opportunity to continue playing football. So, the following morning, I accepted the offer.” Since, I always believed that opportunity knocks once at your door. “

“And the moment I have signed the contract with the team Blue, it has earned me an entirely different experience. Be it the city tour on Tuk Tuk or this is the initial communication barrier, I would always remember the time I have spent in India.”

In an exclusive interview to Betway, Luisma says that The Blues having now won the prestigious Championship is purely because of the hardships of exceptional game by team on the whole.

While discussing his performance against FC Goa in the final, he told team betway, how the game was goalless even after 70 minutes when he was introduced. No goals, no assists, but an unmistakable contribution to what became the second honour of his strange career.

While recalling the jolty moments with Edgar Davids and Martin Allen, he recalls how from being a regular starter of the conference to that four goals six assists statement of Allen helped him taking hard but the right decision.

To him, his Banglore trip brought him real moments in the life. In an answer to his experience for playing as a foreign player. He said, “I really enjoyed having played abroad and it is something that every footballer should try and least once in their life.”
