According to the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings  African duo of Hashim Amla and AB de Villiers, with Shivnarine Chanderpaul completing the top three. Michael Clarke, Australia's highest run-getter in the series against India with 286 runs, dropped two places to No. 4 following the Mohali Test where he made a duck and 18.

The bowlers' table, headed by Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander, didn't see a significant change in the top 20. Ravindra Jadeja, who is fast gaining a reputation of being a more-than-handy spinner, jumped six places to be ranked 35th following figures of 6 for 77 in Mohali.

India's dominance over Australia in the ongoing Test series was reflected in the ICC Test rankings. Following two consecutive centuries in Hyderabad and Mohali, Murali Vijay gained 16 places to a career-best 43rd spot, while Shikhar Dhawan, who smashed 187 on debut in Mohali, entered the rankings at 61st place.

Among other Indian batsmen, Virat Kohli, who made 67 not out and 30 in the third Test, jumped four places to enter the top 20 for the first time.

Meanwhile, R Ashwin, sharing third spot with Philander, was the only Indian in the rankings for Test allrounders. Shakib Al Hasan, currently out of the Bangladesh side due to an injury, occupied the top spot followed by Jacques Kallis.

End.
