A heinous crime has taken place in Mumbai. Innocent human beings have been killed by some monsters in the name of some dubious causes. Pakistan Tribune shares the grief of the victims and offers heartfelt condolences to the aggrieved.

At the moment there are a lot of conflicting reports coming out of the India. There is a crossfire of blames and counter-blames between India and Pakistan. Intense emotional rhetoric is further fogging up the already murky situation enveloping the two nuclear armed states. It is time to cool it off, troubleshoot and, if possible, nip the evil in the bud to avoid a repeat of the incident on either side.

Despite having immense internal problems, starting from Kashmir and spreading as far away as Nagaland and Assam, India feels that the roots of all her troubles lie in Pakistan. While Pakistan, a country most violently hit by terrorism, which has lost thousands of its citizens to terrorism and whose President’s wife was assassinated by similar criminals, feels that India is being unjust in its accusations and that both countries are victims of the same criminals who do not wish to see the two neighbors supping at the same table.

Pakistanis further say that there are also Islamist terror camps in Bangladesh, where the 10,000 strong JMB group receives ample funding and arms from sympathizers across the Muslim world. And that even in India, a massive country with large rural areas under-patrolled by police, Islamist terrorist camps have been found in the Karnataka jungles of the Southwest. What is more, the Maoist Naxalite movement operates in thirteen of India’s twenty-six states and is a robust organization with anywhere up to 20,000 members. In April 2006, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh himself called the Naxalite threat the “biggest internal security challenge ever faced by our country.” The Pakistanis assert that there’s plenty of indigenous terrorist training capacity, not all of it controlled by or even backed by Pakistan. And that the insurgency in the North of Pakistan is being fueled and funded by Indians through their Consulates from across the border in Afghanistan.

    Oneday Terrorist will rule Pakistan

Amid mounting international pressure on Pakistan, Mr. Zardari is yet defending his side by fomenting the air that he has doubt even the captured militant is a pakistani. Pakistan is a failure state from multi dimensional perspective. As Mr. Zardari has doubt about Pakistani involvement in Mumbai ttack, I have also a little doubt that oneday Pakistan would be under terrorist rule and would face severe situation.

    Flawed Logic

The article states to let the cooler heads prevail and that India should not blame Pakistan for each and every internal problem without evidence (the main point to buttress the argument is EVIDENCE). Then the author implores the need to stay united since both the nations are victims of the same problem. This followed by a list of other possible causes stemming from internal/regional Indian organizations. The last claim that Kabul Indian Consulate funds the northern insurgency in Pakistan.

    The Flawed Logic:

Since, you have based your article on basis of that Indian Official should have evidence to point the finger at Pakistan. I ask you sir, where is your evidence in suggesting that this MIGHT be an act of home-grown (Indian)terrorism and that Kabul Indian Consulate is funding the northern insurgency in Pakistan.

You are merely propagating the same flawed logic while pointing fingers as the Indians.

Can we Get together this time?

I appreciate your concerns & condolences for India and for people who lost their lives.

I am speaking out my mind with blend of heart as well but trust me, it would substantially be voice of common Indian, across the Globe. We all (including India, Pakistan, US, UK etc) are targets of terrorism in one or the other way. There had been so many examples we have witnessed in past so many years, that when terror strikes, it doesnt identify the casts, country or religion. Pakistan itself is struggling big time with terror incidences, be it attack (latest I remember) at Marriott, assasination of Benajir Bhutto or many other I cant remember at this stage, but I think its a time that we , especially India and Pakistan should stand together and do some thing against these extremists (apparently cultivated @ Pakistan's land) and eradicate them out of this soil. It would not be a favor to India or US, it would be a gift from us (India & Pak) for the man kind. Let's not close our eyes and belive its night, lets stand together, talk constructively and wipe these Obnoxious creatures off the earth. They are serving no benefits, better to human being and creating reasons of worry, hatred, non beliefs, also polluting "to start with" air between India and Pak.

Please convey my thoughts to very yourself and your countrymen, we Indians have no problem with any citizen of Pakistan and even with Govt. now as it themselve appear to be coping hard with these terror institutions. It is only the attitude, stance what Pak govt appears to take everytime, while India think of doing some thing against these terror institution.

I am glad, I could use this (Pak Tribune) platform to convey my thoughts, belief of most of the Indian to the Pakistan, its people and media.

Please Co-operate with us, lets get together as brothers and get rid off these useless creatures. We may not want to see more attacks on people of either countries, its leaders, its people and very soul of Country.

CAN WE GET TOGETHER THIS TIME? fight against terrorism

    Where are the fatwas

Where are the fatwas against these "non-state" terrorists who are like the murderers in Mumbai being refused burial in Islamic cemeteries because they are in no way whatsoever akin to rabid dogs, but are in every way whatsoever like that which rabid dogs excrete: the fatwa should include that the corpses of murdering offenders who bring disrespect to Islam via terrorism should be fed to pigs... pigs that in turn are slaughtered and fed to wild dogs. Don't you think??? Praise Allah for your wisdom and courage to do so, you who might otherwise be a sniveling ignorant, coward. Yours sincerely, Daryl Atamanyk

    Where should we AIM

See its time friends. The politicians in both the country are to be blamed.every young Indian&pakistani should become, engineer, doctor, lawer etc,,But these corrupted politicians will never let us to prosper. If every one is should be educated only then they cannot do humble request instead of madarasas, open college and schools and bring up people which will give them employment opportunities.Religion should be personal like sex.No body should ask how was your sex yesterday night, similarly religion should be within you not explicit.Friends I feel that people on other side of the border are also humans but can you deny madarasas preach hatred towards other religion. If things go like this here,it will be massive political change so do I expect in pakistan. Why not a single young leader is seen in pakistan. You have many here.We should lead the next generation. If there is a clear evidence of Pak hand in this blast,Friends tell me wat will you do,not as a Pakistani as a Human being.Make sure only educated person gets elected. Is there a true democracy in your country. You know wat come to India we will show you top IT companies,I am sure you will wish to get this in your countey, seeing your son, daughter working. We want you also to develop. Now in both the countries those who are rich go to WEST,why beter money better job, but after IT revolution in INDIA.I am a middle class INDIAN studied hard and working well. This is my observation, there is unemployment in your country so why people are not studying and getting in the hands of hardliners. Improve education and Employment opportunities is the way ahead even here in India, Do you think your politicians are marching towards this, they will never unless there is a revolution.Come on youngsters see INDIA as before 1947 we ll raise again collectively. Why more wealthy pakistanis are settling in WEST.There is no opportunity in the country to prosper.Middle class people are cheated in both the countries, but now thanks to INFOSYS,WIPRO,TCS.Who changed the fortunes of the middle class people of India.I will stand for thr people who are below the poverty line,I will bring them up,this is the way we sholud be looking ahead, not who is powerful.Lets have race not arms race, lets see who is educated, will be a constructive race.Is nt it?.Please publish this I am not biased.I am forcasting the future. I am human being first Indian next.

    Pak a Terrorist State

It is known that ISI, Pak Army, LET, Pak Govt, all are the different faces of same organization and agenda. It is high time Pakistan should be recognized as the terrorist state. Some innocent Pakistani citizens are the victims of their own country.

    the tone is already set

With the way the article is framed the tone is already set for the people to respond. So why this farce of trying to have people say what they have to say.

Pakistan always maintains plausible deniability by carrying out attacks through these groups, training them, providing support and end of the day ..."look!my hands are clean."

This self denial is going to suck Pakistan into what it created for itself.

    pakistan did it

    Rohit, Hungary - 05 December, 2008

    Good Subject

    Who did it?

I think the world knew “Who did it.” We don't have to call it categorically.

    How they did it?

I would say ISI has to answer this question. (We will be able to answer this question little later, once we have all the results of ongoing investigation).

    Why they did it?

Pakistani army and ISI are not happy because of on going drone and surgical strikes in western side of Pakistan. In a way, someone has to provocate India for a possible war or war like scenario with Pakistan then only Pakistani army could withdraw from NWFP area. Since the inception of Pakistan, army's survival was displaying India as grave threat to Pakistan. Because of recent American involvement in Afghanistan, Pak army has lost the opportunity to fool the normal citizens of Pakistan. And of course COAS must be sad by thinking how he could retire without becoming Pakistan's President, when his predecessor's had the opportunity.

Pakistani army personnel's has looted billions and billions of dollars from normal citizen. If India is not a threat to Pakistan, the survival of army is minimal and the opportunity to loot the money is minimal.

    What is the solution?

    Dissolve Pakistani army and ISI.

    Jones, Canada - 05 December, 2008

    Be honest.

Pakistan is hit by terror by the self created Taliban after 9/11. Pakistan betrayed the Taliban by turning its back against them after 9/11. Pakistan was the last country to have diplomatic relations with Taliban. Today the Baluchis of Baluchistan are suppressed by the Punjabi's of Pakistan, taking away their resources "The Gas". Their leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti was brutally murdered by the Pakistan's army. The Northern Alliance of Afghanistan, supported by the International, specially US were fighting with Taliban supported by Pakistan. News Week magazine stated Pakistan is the most dangerous country in the world, where every house in the back yard is a terror camp supported by the notorious ISI. Daniel Pearl the innocent journalist was beheaded where? Pakistan. Recent kidnapping of Iranian foreign minister by who Pakistani supported Talibans.....and there are many instances. No country in the world will believe India supports terrorism, its Pakistan which makes a hog wash of victim of terror.

Sunil Sinha, United Kingdom - 05 December, 2008

Only terror can terrorise the terrorists.

I think pakistanis have lost mental balance. So, India has to take special care of them. Its high time to develop our own covert special force who will go to pakistan and kill the specific target like Mossad of Israel. If there is any complaint from Pak Govt thereafter then simply the Indian Govt should say that "some Stateless Actors" are perpetrator of any crime agaist Pakistan. A terrorist or a rogue State will only understand the language of terror. So terrorise them by whatever means and swallow their own medicine.

    Avijit, Hungary - 05 December, 2008

    Fight Back

Its enough....India keeps patience that doesnt mean that We dnt have guts or power to take revenge of these kind of terror attacks on Indian Territory..Thousands of people died becoz of some heartless cowards. I request Pakistani Govt not to Test our patience. When that limit will get crossed pakistan will face the reaction of India and i hope that will be the last war between India and pakistan. If India wants 1 billion people are there to support our any kind (either financial or something else). JAI HIND...

There is a limit to tolerate. The terroist who did the havoc in Mumbai were all trained in Pakistan and aided by ISI.India should immediately make the Sindhu Water Treaty as null and void, divert the waters in Rajasthan canal and in other canals, take concrete steps to use all the water for the desert of Rajasthan. With out fighting a war, the backbone of the Pakistani
dieheard of anti indian, give a thousand cuts, thought can be broken .

    Pakistan Must Stop

We should dissolve ISI and hand over LeT people to India.

    Iqbal Qureshi, Pakistan - 05 December, 2008

Is Pakistani gov't capable of addressing the issue?

It may the the case that the Pakistani government is not capable of addressing the issue of terror w/i its own borders. Since the terror networks threaten the gov't there too, if it is not capable of dealing with the problem alone, perhaps it should form an alliance, gather the intelligence needed and then conduct joint operations with other 'interested' nations to surgically remove the cancerous members. Perhaps that is a bit naive, as it brings up issues of sovereignty and national pride not to mention the role of the ISI and Pakistani military, but the problem doesn't seem to be going away and the world won't just tolerate Pakistan being a haven for the worlds most notorious terrorists forever.

    mumbai killings

It would be good to look at this view.If you are happy the detailed version will be forwarded. Mr mishra has written some twenty books andis a learned scholar and writer on political affairs.

Mumbai Terror Attack: Further Evidence Of The Anglo-American-Mossad-RSS Nexus

It seems that several things went on simultaneously--the Mahrashtra Chief Minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh was in Kerala when the Mumbai attack began at 9.30 PM on 26th November. Then by 11PM Deshmukh had informed the Home Minister Shivraj Patil--the latter has started proceedings to send the NSG Commandos. So Deshmukh knew about what was happening by 11PM--then why was there no Mumbai Police on various locations between 9.30 and 1am, the time when Karkare arrived? The Mumbai ATS is a separate organization. it does not lead the Mumbai Police. So the 40,000 strong Mumbai Police was absent from the scene of action between 11pm to 1am and then Karkare arrived and he was killed along with his men! Isn't there something fishy here? Obviously the Mumbai Police was kept deliberately away between 11pm and 1am, the time period when terrorists were killing people merrily. Then Karkare must have been told--and he went there expecting Mumbai police personals to be there--but there were none or only a few! And he was killed! - Amaresh Misra

Pakistan going to become next Somalia

Pakistan neither have brains nor heart to challenge India. Hence, they use terrorism to unstable us. I sincerely request Paki citizens to leave your 'Sab Chalta hain' attitude and revolt against terrorism in your country. Else you are going to be next Somalia, where every child has AK-47. WE, Indians are not against Pakistan public, but against those who give shelter to terrorists in the name of Jihad.

If you feel you can get Kashmir, by terrorism, JUST FORGET IT. It wont happen till the last drop of 130 crore ppl here.

Thanks. Have fun & Happy Eid in advance.
