performance of pakistan

I want to say that Pakistan ,s team performance is very disappointing the players have talent but have no conffidence on their talent so this is the main reason of their bad performance.

saba aslam, Pakistan - 02 March, 2003

pakistaan team should now face the reality

well guys , as u see in the match ,rather a semi world cup final , india again dominate over the fastest ravalpindi express and dangourous waseem akram , i like to suggest the team management that its not alwasys the speed matters but the tricks and relevent analysis dont go on with past records but see the present form of players , if pakistaan have taken imran nazir instead of injaamulhaq the results i think could be different , if there would be saqlaine mustaq instead of shaeed afridi than also , well in my view only waqar younis , saeed anwar and yohana r world cup authentic deservers to be selected rest of players r just seems to be struggling with there past records .
with best of luck for the future

Pakistan need turnaround

Pakistant has been a wonderful team but it has shown many weakness particulalry during the match with India. The salient point of Indian side was that each every player contributed and faught to win. Pakistan on the other hand, saeed anwar had the class of its own and rest all seems to be de-moralized due to fear of loosing agianst India.

This is something that the pakistan needs to overcome. Well what ever I hope the world cup come back to South Asia either in Sri Lanka or India or Pakistan. As far as my personal openion is concerned, the final seems to have Australia as one side and the other side may be India or New Zealand or Sri Lanka

The Chucker

Shoaib might have got Tendulkar out at 98 but there is abosolutely no doubt that Tendulkar and other Indian batsman showed him his place and the fact one has to do more than just chuck the ball as fast as one can. Coming to chucking, the reason given for allowing him to bowl is that he has a handicap since childhood. That is ridiculous because you can't change the rule just for 1 person. If he is handicapped, tough luck.

Disappointment

hi guys as u saw cricket match between india and pakistna, well i am not disappointed that pakistan lost ther match against india. but i am disappointed the way they lost there match there should be a fighting sprit and winning and loosing dosent count. as u all saw in Aus Vs Eng & Srilanka Vs SA actual game of cricket

Rishwan, Pakistan - 04 March, 2003

pakistanīs poor perfomance

It is a great shame for the class players to perform so badly.it is high time to bring in new fresh blood who are eager to show their talents.

zaffar nagi, Svalbard And Jan Mayen - 04 March, 2003

Just like to describe pakistans performances in the world cup "pathetic".

T.HAYAT, Pakistan - 04 March, 2003

WORLD CUP LOSS DUE TO SELECTION

We lost World Cup because of some selection mistakes.

I have only one question if Inzamam, Afridi and Razzaq were struggling then why they keep giving them chances.

They can give chances to talented Mohammad Sami, Saqlain was sitting on Bench and Young Azhar Mahmood was also sitting.

Overall Pakistan Cricket Board selected wrong players at wrong occasion. Youhana deserves to go at #3 but they send him in lower order and selected some players who were producing poor performance.

Faisal, Canada - 05 March, 2003

Pakistans fall from grace

Having so much resources yet nothing done, will continue unless they comment less and do more. Not far back the Pakistani management blamed India for not playing them because India is afraid of losing but we won, secondly Shoaib Akhtar commented that India's batting is mediocare but our batsmen taught him a lesson, they should talk less and do more as their piours had done Pakistan proud in 92.

Imran khan for Chairman of PCB

This team needs revitalised from the top level PCB Chairman/Board down to the team. The team needs new blood like get rid off Inzaman way past his self by date, then there's wild horse Afridi not mentally stabled, And finally Waqar lacks leadership qualities how can he motivate his team when he needs to be motivated himself on the pitch. As no idea how to handle pressure. This all needs to be looked at and new young blood needs to drafted in to replace the old timers Saeed,Inzaman,Waqar,Rashid deserves to stay around to coach.Rashid, and Shoaib too. And finally we can not afford to have Wasim retire just yet, he needs to be around in order for the team to develop around him, he is a true leader, have him as coach/player along with Imran Khan chairman of PCB?

Cricket World Cup 2003

The saying goes well for the Pakistan team, "Too many cooks spoil the broth", which can be changed to -"Too many superstars have spoilt the Pakistan team". The Pakistan management and players will have to restrain from making childish comments , Shoaib Akhtar made childish remarks about the Indian batting , I think after the Indo Pak match , his "foot must have landed in his mouth". Winning and losing are part of the game, but I really think Pakistani team let their people down in such a huge event . The people of Pakistan should insist that their arrogance should be shown on the playing ground and not to impress "GORA" journalists. I really wish the Pakistan team "All the Best" for the future....

Isha, Hungary - 06 March, 2003

Positve

Our Team has been really disappointing but I dont really get it when Indians try to cash on it. Frankly i think there was also a positive side to Pakistan losing this match and that is Indians will be now seriously thinking about resuming cricket with us. They refused to play just when they were losing and had no problems with playing hockey or football at the same time.

I also think that it is unfair to India Pakistan players as we put them under immense pressure by taking these matches too seriously. It is extremely unfair to our players when we judge and pass verdicts about them after one 'important match'. I think India and Pakistan should play a lot of cricket and the players should lead by being friendly to each other and turn this war back into a game.

Atif, Pakistan - 06 March, 2003

Future Pakistani Cricket Squad

I would love if the following players play until atleast 2007 world cup. I make a request that please dont make any changes and just give the above squad a chance.

Future Pakistani Cricket Team

Taufeeq Umar
Imran Nazir
Yousuf Youhana
Inzamam Ul Haq
Shahid Afridi
Azhar Mahmood
Abdur Razzaq
Shoaib Akhtar
Saqlain Mustaq
Mohammad Sami
One more outstanding Fast bowler

According to this team Shoaib, Sami and one more bolwer will prvide fast bowling. Saqlain will be the spinner and Abdur Razzaq, Azhara Mahmood and Afridi can also bowl. If you see carefully then I am pitty sure that this team would be capable to win 90% of their games.

Faisal, Canada - 07 March, 2003

Pakistani Players

I think that Waqar Younis should play until the next world cup in West Indies 2007.

Waseem Akram if he want he can quit but I would love to see him 2 more years as there is enough cricket still bless on him.

We should not consider Moin Khan after Rashid Latif and we need to give chances to Young Taufeeq Umar who is an opening batsman and also a good wicket keeper.

Message to Isha

When you say that Shoaib Akhtar made pathetic remarks to Indian Batting.

Let me tell you something that he was 100% right that Australian batting is much better than Indian batting.

Australia will win the cup.

Faisal, Canada - 08 March, 2003

It seems none of the senior players is
willing to step down .All of a sudden,
they want a second chance to lift the Pak. image, but I donīt think they really deserve a second chance. So please gentlemen step aside with some dignity.

Shoaib Malik

What has happened to Shoaib Malik who is a very talented all rounder he will be good as a opener along with Imran Nazir, I know they tried this combination before and didnt work out. But give them another chance to settle, and make Taufiq Umar wicket keeper in one day games
