US government has placed the death pictures of so called sons of Saddam Hussein, Uday and Qusay, on display as reported killed on 22nd July.

US Secretary of State Donald Rumsfield has affirmed the rightness of act of disclosing graphic pictures showing what the US says are the mutilated bodies of Saddam Hussein's sons.

It is on the record, when US soldiers were killed in War Against Terror and media flashed the pictures of dead marines, US along with ICRC agitated and ordained the media not to open them on screen regarding it as humiliation of Geneva Convention of Prisoners of War (PoWs).

What do you think about this act of US, emplacing Saddam Sonsí pictures forth public?

What aims of US rest behind?

Was this among the Primary Objectives of War Against Terror in Iraq?

Are Objectives of the war being fulfilled?

What can be the role of ICRC (International Committee of Red Cross) in post-war situation in Iraq?

neither one of them gave a rats a** about the people of Iraq that they killed and tortured to death. They are both guilty of crimes against humanity therefor not subject to the protection of the geneva convention. and if the USA wanted to be the mean tyrant that some of this world wants to believe, there would be a huge exxon gas station flying old glory high above it as we took all the oil we wanted. The truth is there isnt a country in this world that can stop The USA from doing whatever it wants EXCEPT the USA! Its not in our nature. Every country that we beat in war has been rebuilt by us and returned to its people.

I think the US could have done more...they should have put their bodies on display for all to see, so that they would know what the US has done, and that we aren't quite done yet.

Ernie, United Kingdom - 06 August, 2003

Don't like it? Don't look.

Personally, I got off on those pictures. I printed them out and used them on the invitations for my birthday party. My only regret is that they buried the two instead of parading their heads on poles in the town square. I particularly enjoyed the part of the story where the US troops decided to stop monkeying around with those two and fire anti-tank missiles into every window of the house, and then pumping two bullets into the mouth of whichever one was still alive when they got to the bathroom where the brothers of love were hiding like little girls.

I'm sure you won't post this- but have a good day anyway.

Hmm

I must disagree that the publishing of the pictures of Saddam's dead sons is on the same level as showing pictures of dead soldiers being dragged through the streets.
The dragging of the U.S. soldiers through the streets or showing the dead bodies of soldiers on the air would serve no more purpose than shock value and disrespect. While it may still be disrespectful to publish pictures of Uday and Qusay, the goal behind doing so is to attempt to prove to the Iraqi people and to others around the world that the U.S. is accomplishing it's mission in Iraq: The permanent removal of the regime. Apparently, no one would believe us if we just told people that they had been killed. I don't really blame them.

Only Arabs are RIGHT

Of course anything not done by an Arab/Muslim is wrong. We all know that. Only American media lies. Of course America commits more war crimes.. as no one one kills more than leaders. Imagine a world run by all you frozen cowards. Only when it is your family killed does it matter. You live next door to genecide and do NOTHING!! You side with Satan and DEFEND HIS WAYS. But your FULL of opinions. Too bad your words are hollow as your love for your neighbors.

Eric Mayfield, United Kingdom - 06 August, 2003

Silly

I can't believe you guys try to equate American soldiers to the Evil brothers themselves. The pics of the dead Hussein brothers was published to reassure the citizens of Iraq that they were dead. Not even close to publishing the photos of nameless heroes who are just following orders. Good try though.

C, United Kingdom - 06 August, 2003

They were right to publish

The photos of Uday & Qusay are not the propaganda tools that the Iraqi regime used when showing filmed footage of dead allied soldiers being paraded on television while a grinning Iraqi stood around & occasionally poked the corpses of men that died in battle & honour. The allies (US) have admitted that they thought long & hard before publishing these pictures, not for glorious purposes, but to prove to the Iraqi people that they had 2 more reasons not to fear the allies i.e the fact that with Uday & Qusay apparently dead, the Saddam Hussein regime was coming to an end. It is a far different thing to the tasteless & horriffic filming of allied soldier corpses shown on al jazeera...

Death To All Ragheads

Plain and simple......you all, are a bunch of whacked out religious fanatics who should be put to death!

Bill, United Kingdom - 06 August, 2003

Dead Proof

Just goes to show what we do to criminals or the most extreme nature. Why did people celebrate their death? Maybe it was a welcome relief from the fear that they lived in.

Uncle Sam, United Kingdom - 06 August, 2003

Pakis

Sadamms murderous sons were not only war criminals but 1) not under orders from a standing military 2) Not wearing the uniforms of a internationally recognized military. That Pakistanis question the integrity of the US is not surprising. Its corrupt people, politicians, and policy ensure its status as a third world sewer that collaborates with terrorist scum and lies to the world about it. The two sons of Sadaam should have ben wraped in *** hide and dumped into a sewer for burial.

Steve Bohannon, United Kingdom - 06 August, 2003

First of all the arabs cry that they want proof, we give em proof and they cry that we gave them the proof they wanted. They will never be happy with anything for it is in their nature to be hostile to anyone and everyone. I believe the USA should have just left it all alone and closed our borders to any and all arabs that want to enter the country. There are allot of americans that don't want to help these people. Sadly the gov. does.

Jack, United Kingdom - 06 August, 2003

US & WOMD

Firstly, the US found no WOMD. So what? What if they did? The US is the country that has the "MOST" WOMD but does not want to allow others. Why? Could it be because their goal is world domination? NAZI Germany was that threat before, but now the US is doing what the Nazis were doing.
The US breaks the Geneva convention regularly but criticizes others for doing what they do. They are no example for those that they conquer.
The US has always felt that they hold the high moral ground. They are "moral fanatics" which is worse than a religious fanatic. The problem is that their sense of morals is always self benefiting.
Beware, the US is the most dangerous country in the world.

goose and gander

What is good for the goose is also good for the gander.

scott, United Kingdom - 06 August, 2003

Terminology

This is just my opinion. I don't think that Sadams Sons qualify as Prisoners of War. They do however qualify as War Criminals, and in this manner they gave up any proctetive rights offered by the Geneva Convention.

Furthermore the Iraqi media has established a policy of lying to its own people regarding US victories. To combat this type of propaganda, photographic evidence is waranted.

Charles Hamilton, United Kingdom - 06 August, 2003

You folks are all crack. We have a pretty much free press here, so not only do we get the truth, we get some of the truth, most of the truth, truth as foriegn propagandists see it, and truth the way it is.

For the most part you get the truth that your government tells your press to print, and you never see what your governments never want you to see.

Get over the fact that democracy and capitalism saved the world from oppression and death (for the most part... give us some time).

Step up to the mic and speak your piece when youv'e done the same.

I can see thet there are so many people who want to emmigrate to Pakistan and other fun and exciting places... maybe things will slow down here a bit.

Isolationism

An idea, the US resorts back to the period prior to World War II, isolationism. No more aid, no more troops. The rest of the world can work out their own problems without the arrogance of the US or the US aid.
