A US federal court on 23rd September, 2010, sentenced Dr Aafia Siddiqui to 86 years of imprisonment for the attempted murder of US officers in Afghanistan.

During the case hearing, Prosecutors said she had picked up the rifle and opened fire on US servicemen and FBI representatives trying to take her into detention. She missed and in a struggle was herself shot by one of the US soldiers. Defence lawyers argued there was no physical evidence, such as finger prints or gunpowder traces, to show Dr Aafia even grabbed the rifle.

Meanwhile, Dr Aafia, her face wrapped in an ivory-white shawl, denied shooting at US officers and said in rambling court commentaries that she had been held in secret prisons for years and tortured at the Bagram US military base near Kabul, where she was “brainwashed.”

After the judgement, Aafia Siddiqui, 38, a neuroscientist trained at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, denounced the trial and said an appeal would be “a waste of time. I appeal to Allah Almighty.”

How you take this judgement. Please elaborate.

A TALE OF INJUSTICE

The sentence of Afia Siddiqui is tale of injustice at state level by the superpower of the earth. In such circumstances she can only depend and wait for the verdict of the Most Just Superpower of the Sky.
She is waiting for your justice Lord!!!

Aafia Siddiqui

Without evidence or finger prints on the weapon how the USA court sentenced her to 86 years. It is totally injustice and does not justify in anyway, which is threat to justice every where. This decision of US Court is depicting their intention and will destroy the image of being a super power. Well,God is great, will give Aafia courage and strength to bear this biased verdict. Her sin is that she graduated as Neuroscientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. May Allah Secure Aafia. Aamin

She is safe in US jail. Had she been in Pakistan after deserting her husband and children going alone, she would definitely have been killed for for mullah honour.

Wake up!

A lady , while answering my question, replied, She is arrested because she is a Muslim. This is the only reason. I asked again, why don't they arrest you? Aren't you are Muslim? She tried to answer but couldn't.

We must stop thinking in a biased way. The only way forward is to look into our problems and find out the real causes of our troubles.
Blaming others will not solve anything.

speakout/Aafia

Aasia Bibi also the daughter of Pakistan. Both Dr.Aafia and Aasia did not get proper justice. While nobody talk about Aasia Bibi because she is poor, others bark for Dr.Aafia with self interest.

Khadar Basha, Karachi, Pakistan - 30 December, 2010

What about injustice of Asia Bibi?

Yes, some of you are upset about the detaining of this woman. But, what about the Christian woman in Pakistan who is held for her Christian beliefs? How much injustice I can account for in Pakistan against Christians that is absolute evil. Christ Jesus teaches peace and love, not hate and imprisonment that leads to murder. Stop intolerance of other religions in Pakistan.
