A US federal court on 23rd September, 2010, sentenced Dr Aafia Siddiqui to 86 years of imprisonment for the attempted murder of US officers in Afghanistan.

During the case hearing, Prosecutors said she had picked up the rifle and opened fire on US servicemen and FBI representatives trying to take her into detention. She missed and in a struggle was herself shot by one of the US soldiers. Defence lawyers argued there was no physical evidence, such as finger prints or gunpowder traces, to show Dr Aafia even grabbed the rifle.

Meanwhile, Dr Aafia, her face wrapped in an ivory-white shawl, denied shooting at US officers and said in rambling court commentaries that she had been held in secret prisons for years and tortured at the Bagram US military base near Kabul, where she was “brainwashed.”

After the judgement, Aafia Siddiqui, 38, a neuroscientist trained at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, denounced the trial and said an appeal would be “a waste of time. I appeal to Allah Almighty.”

How you take this judgement. Please elaborate.

USA ki Ghulami chhodo,Neighbour ko dost banao

My friends,

I am not able to understand why pakistan should allow USA Army to stay in Pakistan and kill own countrymen?

Itne salo ki USA ki dosti ke badleme Pakistan ko Kya Mila? Mulk ka development tabhi ho sakta he jab woh real term me independet ho. Baki USA ki ghulami ka koi fayda nahi

What the heck is going on nobody explains why and from where was she abducted her uncle (brother of her mother) is saying he met her in Islmbd and she stayed with him for two days her sister no so called another human right leader is sying some thing else and where is her first husband he said some thing else it is like som type of things are there to cover for actuall role in this part of wolrd for some years we were reading she is a US citizen suddenly it is refused by her mother, how she was married to a Al quaida activist where were her mother and sister when she married to a wanted man why they did not follow her activity at that time of course she is a woman and if she is Pakistani then we feel sad about her but why it is not those media men dug out all the hidden stories and let the people know the truth, dont make the people sentimental about her being a lady tell us what was her role in all this drama, we as a citizen of Pakistan had the right to know what is the whole mess about , dont take it to the roads with some of the politicle parties bcz they are looking for somthing to survive with and they think this one chance to be alive in the politicle arena.

A fake verdict

Poor and ailing Aafia Siddiqui, who was kidnapped from Karachi alongwith her 3 children and kept in illegal custody for long 5 years and severely tortured, could be so strong to snatch rifle from armed soldiers and fire at them. More over the country who lauds her voice in favour of the women rights, it's jury sentences a helpless innocent girl for 86 years by depending upon bogus prosecution.Afia was sentenced such llong punishment because she was a Muslim practising girl. America does not know how huge hatred he has collected in her bag by such undesirable acts.

Irresponsible country

What happened to Afia is shame on muslims in gendral & pakistanis particular. Had this incident been hapened with daughter of any other nation & community they would left no stone unturned in bringing justice to this oppressed & punishment to accused. But it is pakistan, who kills its own innocent people to please jews & christians. After all it is pakistan who is responsible for capture & handover of Afia to these tyrants.

Why has she become a role model?

Guardian news reported that she got a divorce from her husband, married again to a nephew of senior Al Qaeda leader -- been actively involved in visiting Afghanistan to assist Al Qaeda and Taliban?

Are teaching our kids to follow such brain washed personalities and get divorce from their husbands to help terrorists who are calling everyone infidel, and even killing muslims in Pakistan and bombing shrines of Saints and mourners of Imam Hussain (a.s.).

I still fail to understand that why Americans picked her up, if she had no involvement in any sort of support given to Taliban.
and why would Khalid, the terrorist picked up from Pakistan earlier, one of hte master minder of 9/11 took her name during investigative process?
