Memorandum urges UN role in Kashmir settlement

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyet Conference Jammu and Kashmir led by Shabbir Ahmad Shah has appealed to the United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, to impress upon India to withdraw its decision of closing the World Body's office in New Delhi.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the appeal was mad in a memorandum presented to the United Nations Military Observers' office at Sonawar in Srinagar, today.
