CALCUTTA, January 11 (Online): A capacity Eden Gardens crowd would create a superb atmosphere Calcutta is likely host the return match next month to raise funds for the Asian tsunami relief appeal.
International Cricket Council chief executive Malcolm Speed said Calcutta's vast Eden Gardens stadium would be favourite to stage the match.
The game could take place between the end of England's tour of South Africa on 13 February and Australia's tour to New Zealand, beginning four days later.
A World XI beat Asia by 112 runs in the first game in Melbourne on Monday.
"We need to fly players in and out and have them there long enough for them to perform at a very high level," said Speed.
"We're not entirely sure we're going to accommodate both groups of players, but we'll know in the next day or so.
"But I would expect the Australian players will be playing. They have an eagerness and willingness to play in the next game.
"We need to make calls to England and India and I think we're probably there."
