LAHORE: Ex-service men, announcing their participation in the lawyers’ long march, demanded impeachment along with the trial of President Musharraf.

Addressing a press conference here, Major General ® Shafique Ahmad urged for the re-instatement of deposed judges on Nov. 2 position and declared, “We do not accept the constitutional package.” He said that that the plunderers of the country’s wealth were acquitted under NRO and added that the President has no authority to write off loans worth billions.

He demanded that the military men should not be posted anywhere except in the military. He said that ex-service men would march shoulder-to-shoulder along with the lawyers.

Prsident Musharraf has inflicted irreparable injuries to the country, his policies proved detrimental for the solution of Kashmir conflict and, therefore, he should be impeached and court marshaled. He said Muslim League-N has nothing to do with their sudden political activism.

End.
