ISLAMABAD: President of Jamaat-e-Islami, Qazi Hussain Ahmed on Friday said that his party was ready to play a vital role for restoration of peace in restive area of Swat, if the government does not create any hurdle.

" The matter should be resolved through negotiations rather then use of force," he said while talking to private TV while stressing the government to review its policies.

"Consultation with Maulana Fazl Ullah is necessary to know about his point of view about Shariah, if his point of view about Shariah can bring peace in the area, there will be no problem to implement it," he pointed out.

He condemned the killing of security personnel and termed it inappropriate step.

In response to a query, he said that uncertainty and anarchy in the country was owing to policies of the government and their policies took the country on the verge of collapse.

He said that US was also a terrorist country and supporting of Pakistan was a big mistake of the government.

He demanded of the government to end operation in the area of Swat in order to restore peace.
