ISLAMABAD: A Rangers man was killed and two wounded in shootout between Lal Masjid students and Rangers.
The incident caused tension in the locality in Islamabad resulting in closure of shopping centres and shops. The incident also caused traffic jam in the area.
Federal Minister of Interior Aftab Sherpao has demanded the mosque administration to hand over persons involved in the firing over the law enforcement agencies to authorities.
A girl and several security men have been wounded in the firing incident, which were transferred to hospital.
Emergency has been declared and alert announced at all hospitals in the federal capital.
An official of Rangers talking to the media has said that the students of Lal Masjid started the firing.

Well Pakistan has been plagued by Mullah since the Afghan war where they were instilled to fight a proxy war. But now, the seeds of the psychotic fanaticism had to germinate somewhere, after Soviet collapse and American invasion of Afghanistan. These misled self-proclaimed "hands of God" Lal Masjidians must be taught a lesson, that being a consummate "Jahil" does not give them the right to infringe upon everyone's lives around them. They deserve a thorough smacking. Their character has been exposed where one Maulana Sahib wears a burqa and scrams for dear life and the other says that "take everyone around me and just let me have a safe passage". Well unfortunately one of them has been caught alive owing to his cowardice and fortunately the other one is going to be killed. We dont want more "Justice Chaudhries" who will be paraded around for petty gains by our mediocre (read second-rated) politicians. Maulvis of the country, please stay within your seminaries and in your twisted world of extremism and let us live in peace or we WILL do stuff to you which WILL ENSURE THAT youlet us live in peace.
