KARACHI: President Muttahida Majlis-e-Ammal (MMA) and Amir Jamat-e-Islami Qazi Hussain Ahmed, ruling out the possibility of free and fair election under President Musharraf has cautioned the rulers of severe public reaction if they tried to form PML-Q's government in NWFP and other provinces.

Addressing the office-bearers of Jamat-e-Islami Karachi here at Idara Noor Haq, Qazi pledged that unity of MMA would be kept enact at every cost, adding it was the trust of nation.

He said that resignation from Nation Assembly was still on the agenda of MMA and the supreme council of the alliance would discuss it in detail in its next meeting.

If the MMA's supreme council defer the issue of quitting assembly any more then he would seek permission for his personnel resignation from the assembly, he added.

Qazi accused the rulers of endangering the security of the country just their personnel 'security'.

He claimed that owing up the US attack on Bajaur was compulsion of the rulers and the people of Bajaur would boycott the bye-elections in the constituency.

Qazi said that the people of the country were scrupulous and conscientious and would vote for those in next election, who were rendering sacrifices for the country.

Lashing out at President General Pervez Musharraf, the MMA President said that Musharraf has become a US's 'puppet' for just prolonging his rule.

He said that innocent Huffaz and students were killed in the attack on seminary in Bajaur, which was carried by US, but the ruler put the responsibility on Pak Army fearing of public backlash.

The meeting was attended by Amir JI Karachi, Dr Merajul Huda, Secretary General Shahid Hashmi, Naib Amirs, Shaikh Rafiq Ahmed, Birjees Ahmed and former city nazim, Nimatullah Khan.
