Peshawar: A car bomb exploded in Peshawar city of northwestern Pakistan on Monday, damaging dozens of other vehicles but causing no casualties, police said.
The blast was caused by explosive planted in a Suzuki FX car in a parking lot near a crowded market of Saddar and a police station in Peshawar, said Iftikhar Khan, a senior police officer.
The car carrying the explosives was destroyed and almost 30 other cars were damaged.
Police informed that nearly 70 vehicle were parked inside the parking area at the time of blast.
A bomb disposal squad was immediately called for further inquiry.
