KABUL: Twenty-nine hostile Afghan commanders of Khost province have announced to support the government.
They announced their support after talks with the members of the reconciliation commission. The commanders pledged not to take part in any anti-government activities in future, according to the report of radio Azadi.
The head of the commission, Professor Sabghatullah Mujaddedi hoped that more than one thousand opponents would announce their support by the end of this year to the government and take active part in the reconstruction and peace process.
Meanwhile, the third Afghan volunteers team is backed home after taking part in the relief operations in earthquake areas of Pakistan.
Doctors of the team said that they had provided treatment to hundreds of the quake affectees. The Afghan Health Ministry announced that forth team would be sent to take part in the relief operations in quake-affected areas. |
