KABUL: Afghan Energy Minister Ismail Khan says that Pakistan has suspended oil exports to his country due to setting of winter and recent earthquake that hit the country on October 8.
Talking to IRNA, he said Afghanistan was facing acute shortage of fuel to run the powerhouses. He added that many government buildings and hospitals in Kabul were without light for the last three days.
Ismail Khan said that Afghanistan was compelled to import oil from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to meet its requirements.
It may be recalled that oil prices have increased manifold in Kabul.

Why the Afghan government set aside all laws and regulations and high prices and very strict rules for foreign Companies and let them come in and explore Afghanistans very rich oil and Gas reserves. Norethern Afghanistan is neighbour to Uzbekistan and turkministan. the towns and cities of these countries neighbouring Afghanistan are rich in Oil and Gas earning them Billions of as well as providing their national energy needs. Only mazar has one gas exploration unit and provides gas for the city of Puli KHomri, from its own teritory, Why cant this be done for other parts. I BET THERE IS A LONG TERM PLAN AND STRATEGY IN THIS TOO, MAINLY GOVERNED BY GRED OF AFGHANS IN POWER SUCH AS WAR LORDS, AND THE OUTSIDE SUCH AS THE USA AND OTHERS.
