Zardari, Gen. Kayani discuss important matters

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani and President Asif Ali Zardari discussed professional matters, last year's NATO air strike, recommendations of the Parliamentary Committee for National Security and security issues during a meeting at the Presidency on Friday They also discussed national economy and proceedings of parliament. Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJSCS) General Khalid Shameem Wynne, chiefs of Pakistan Navy and Air Force were also present at the meeting. Earlier on Friday, President Zardari decorated Naval Chief Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila with Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) here at the Presidency during a special ceremony. The citation read on the occasion said that Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) was being conferred upon the Naval Chief in recognition of his long and meritorious services. End.
