Young doctors continue protest
27 January, 2013
LAHORE: Office-bearers of Young Doctors Association (YDA) continued boycott of out-patient departments (OPDs) of public hospitals across the province on Saturday. Young doctors demand that the government meet their demands, including implementation of the service structure. Young doctors have decided to meet politicians and office-bearers of different organisations to take them into confidence about their demands and the alleged misbehaviour of the Punjab government with doctors. As a first step, a delegation of young doctors called on the Supreme Court Bar Association secretary and its executive members to apprise them of their problems. The YDA has also decided to file a contempt of court petition in the Lahore High Court against police for not registering a case against people who had injured doctors in Gujranwala. End.
